Gurpinder Khanba – LL.B(Hons)
Senior Immigration Advisor
Gurpinder joined Fountain Solicitors as a Senior Immigration Advisor. She has over 10 year of experience in all aspects of Immigration and Asylum Law. She is a member of the Law Society’s Immigration Panel and is accredited as a Level 2 Supervisor under the Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme. She specialises in all aspects of Immigration and Asylum Law and prior to joining Fountain Solicitors she was managing and supervising the legal aid immigration contract at an East Midlands firm for two offices.
Gurpinder has extensive experience representing clients before the Immigration and Asylum Tribunal in a variety of substantive appeal matters, including deportation proceedings before a panel. She is a keen advocate who is recognised locally within the tribunals, and who seeks to achieve the best possible outcome and also enjoys challenging decisions, to include Judicial Review matters. She is extremely passionate about the work she does in this area.
She is alert to various considerations and vulnerabilities of those clients who have suffered severe trauma, minor children, vulnerable women and victims of human trafficking and has dealt with a high volume of such cases.
Gurpinder completed her LLB Hons at the University of Leicester and she undertook the Bar Vocational Course at The College of Law London, prior to being called to the Bar in October 2008. She further achieved Level 2 accreditation in June 2009 whilst at the Immigration Advisory Service and Supervisor Status in February 2011 whilst at Blakemore Solicitors in Birmingham.
Gurpinder is fluent in Punjabi, Hindi and English.
