Ramzan Sharif is the director of Fountain Solicitors. He qualified as a solicitor on 1 July 2002. Ramzan has been undertaking Immigration work exclusively for over 20 years and continues to enjoy a respected reputation in Immigration, Nationality and Asylum Law.
He has considerable expertise in finding solutions for individuals with complex problems, specialising in obtaining judicial review and injunctions for people who are facing removal or in immigration detention.
He has extensive experience of representing clients before the First-Tier Tribunal, Upper Tier Tribunal, High Court, Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court, and has dealt with numerous Judicial Review applications in the Administrative Court (High Court), Court of Appeal and Supreme Court on complex areas of law.
He is accredited with the Law Society as a level 2 Senior Caseworker with Supervisor Status. He was also on the list for appointment to the post of Immigration Judge and keeps up-to-date with the latest changes to case law, statutes and relevant authorities.
Between 2009 and 2012, Ramzan was a peer reviewer for the Legal Services Commission. Since April 2013, Ramzan has been working closely with the Walsall Citizens Advice Bureau as a consultant one day a week.
He currently assists the Bureau with certificated matters in the High Court and the Court of Appeal. He had been head-hunted for the position not only for his knowledge and experience of dealing with complicated legal points, but also for his demonstrated commitment to using this knowledge and experience to benefit the community in which he lives.
He has undertaken 3 Supreme Court cases in the last few years, the most for any solicitor in Walsall and surrounding areas.
Ramzan is fluent in Mirpuri, Pothwari, Urdu and English.
